Hagenauer, Carl


Hagenauer, Carl, b. July 30, 1871, d. Aug. 19, 1928, designer. Trained as goldsmith, 1898 founded the Hagenauer workshop which still exists. Created castings of miniature sculptures of old masters, joined the Viennese Modernist movement, created metal objects in lavishly decorated, curved shapes and many according to designs by J. Hoffmann.
