Gunkel, Joseph, b. Vienna, Dec. 28, 1802, d. Hütteldorf, Vienna, June 2, 1878, tailor. Enlarged the linen shop founded by his father and turned it into a fashionable Viennese tailor's shop (invented double skirts, introduced English tail coats) for the aristocracy and wealthy middle class.
