Gunert, JohannGunert, Johann, b. Modřice, Czech Republic (then Mödritz), June 9, 1903, d. Vienna, Oct. 3, 1982, poet and essay writer. After World War II lector of the Office for Culture and Public Education in Vienna and employed at the Austrian broadcasting corporation (ORF). Awarded the State Prize in 1956, the Trakl Prize in 1962 and the Grillparzer Prize in 1978.
