Gumpp, Georg AntonGumpp, Georg Anton, b. Innsbruck (Tyrol), Oct. 12, 1682, d. Innsbruck (Tyrol), Dec. 19, 1754, Court Architect and engineer; son of Johann Martin Gumpp. Was the most significant architect of the family; he adapted the High Baroque in Italy to form his own architectural style. Works: Innsbruck: facade of the church of Wilten monastery, 1716; Johanneskirche am Innrain, 1729-1735; Palais Pfeiffersberg, 1712-1723; Landhaus, 1724-1728. - Renovation of the church of Stams monastery, 1719-1732.
