Gugitz, Gustav (pseudonym: G. Litschauer), b. Vienna, April 9, 1874, d. Rekawinkel (Lower Austria), March 3, 1964, cultural historian, folklore specialist, author, private scholar, 1938-1945 employed at Vienna city library; his collection of about 6,000 vols. about Vienna was taken over by the City of Vienna in return for a life annuity.
