Groër, Hans HermannGroër, Hans Hermann, b. Vienna, Oct. 13, 1919, archbishop of Vienna (1986-1995), cardinal in 1988. Studied philosophy and theology, in 1942 ordained as a priest, renewed the custom of pilgrimages to Maria Roggendorf (Lower Austria), pilgrimage director, member of the order of St. Benedict (Göttweig monastery) in 1976, until 1995 Chairman of the Austrian Conference of Bishops.
