Goltz, Alexander DemetriusGoltz, Alexander Demetrius, b. Püspökladány (Hungary), Jan. 25, 1857, d. Vienna, May 14, 1944, painter. After studying in Munich and Vienna extensive travels (France, Great Britain, USA, Orient, Balkans) and settled in Vienna in 1892. Created portraits, landscapes and historical scenes; from 1904-1907 director of décor and costumes at the Burgtheater and in 1909/10 at the Court Opera. Literature: ÖBL.
