Geiger, MarcusGeiger, Marcus, b. Muri (Switzerland), Aug. 8, 1957, creates sculptures using various materials and objects. Since 1978 has lived in Vienna, where he studied architecture and set design. Became well-known in Austria for his creations using terry-cloth and other inexpensive materials; caused a scandal in 1998 when he had the Vienna Secession painted red for his one-man exhibition. Also known for his ironical treatment of various aspects of contemporary art production.
