GampernGampern, Upper Austria, municipality district of Vöcklabruck, alt. 509 m, pop. 2,212, area 26.24 km2, situated to the west of Vöcklabruck, at the Dürre Ager stream, in the Attergau region. - Wood-working industry (especially production of furniture, turneries), extraction and storage of natural gas (Rohöl-Aufsuchungs AG), tool production. - Late-Gothic parish church (1486-1515) with famous late-Gothic winged altar, possibly by L. Astl (1490-1500, 22 panel paintings representing the passion and death of Christ); late-Gothic ceiling frescos, tabernacle and late-Gothic "Pisendorfer Madonna" statue around 1510, late-Gothic crucifix 1515-1525.
