Furtmüller, Karl


Furtmüller, Karl, b. Vienna, Aug. 2, 1880, d. Mariapfarr (Salzburg), Jan. 1, 1951, school teacher. In 1919 asked to join the reform department of the Ministry of Education. Along with V. Fadrus and H. Fischl was one of the most important reformers of the educational system of the First Republic. Emigrated in 1938 and lived in the USA from 1941-1947. Principal of the Pedagogic Institute of the City of Vienna from 1948-1951.
