Fromiller, Josef FerdinandFromiller, Josef Ferdinand, b. Oberdrauburg (Carinthia; ?), 1693, d. Klagenfurt (Carinthia), Dec. 9, 1760, painter, from 1733 "the landscapist of Carinthia". Played a dominant role as a painter in Carinthia during the period of baroque painting. Works: Frescoes (Trabuschgen Palace, Hall of the Coats of Arms of the Landhaus in Klagenfurt, Ebenthal Palace, Monastery of Ossiach, and others); altar-pieces, still lifes, portraits, historical pictures (series after engravings of the Medici-cycle by P.
