Since 1980 editor of the magazine "Camera Austria"; initiator of numerous symposia on photography. Since 1993 lecturer on the theory of photography at the Höhere Schule für Gestaltung in Zurich. 1995-1996 programme director and 1997-1999 intendant of the steirischer herbst festival.
