Frischenschlager, MichaelFrischenschlager, Michael, b. Salzburg, Oct. 31, 1935, musician. Studied violin, conducting, musical education and musicology in Salzburg, Innsbruck, Vienna, Rome and under Yehudi Menuhin. 1960-1964 a violinist with the Vienna Soloists and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, 1964-1971 appeared as a soloist and Chamber musician; since 1971 violin professor at the Vienna Musikhochschule, now the University of Music and Performing Arts, and 1992-1996 rector of this institution.
