Friedrich I ("the Catholic") transports the body of Leopold VI to Heiligenkreuz to be buried there, genealogical records of the Babenbergs, picture no. 23




Friedrich I, b. around 1175, d. (on his return journey from Palestine), April 16, 1198, son of Duke Leopold V, Duke of Austria (from 1194), member of the Babenberg dynasty. In 1197 participated in the crusade led by Emperor Heinrich VI.
