Fraxern


Fraxern, Vorarlberg, municipality in the district of Feldkirch, settlement perched high above the Rhine valley between the Klausbach and Ratzbach valleys. First documented mention in 1127; fell to Austria in 1390 along with the area of Feldkirch; Neo-Gothic parish church (1900-11) with stained glass windows (alt. 817 m, pop. 592, area 8.86 km2 ).
