Fischer, Betty, b. Vienna, Oct. 9, 1887, d. Vienna Jan. 19, 1969, singer (soprano). At first sang in variety theatres, later at the Raimundtheater, and from 1941 at the Theater an der Wien (for more than 20 years she worked with H. Marischka). became famous for her parts in operettas such as "Die lustige Witwe", "Hoheit tanzt Walzer", "Rose von Stambul" and "Gräfin Mariza".
