Innsbruck (Tyrol), March 20, 1967, author, publisher, essayist; son of Julius von Ficker, brother of Heinrich von Ficker and Rudolf von Ficker. In 1910 founded the initially expressionistic cultural magazine "Der Brenner", which K. Kraus called "the only honest magazine in Austria and Germany". Promoted and published the work of his friend G. Trakl, and was also closely connected with L. Wittgenstein and R. M. Rilke. Awarded the Grand Austrian State Prize in 1959 and the Austrian Decoration for Science and Art in 1966. Works: Studien über K. Kraus, 1913; Denkzettel und Danksagungen. Reden und Aufsätze, ed. by F.
