Ferg, Franz de Paula


Ferg, Franz de Paula, b. Vienna, May 2, 1689, d. London (United Kingdom), 1740, painter. He is well-known for his landscapes with rich staffage, which are mainly based on Dutch works of the late 17th century. His paintings often served as models for the production of engravings.


Works: landscapes and genre-paintings, etchings ("Capricci fatti per F. F.", 1726).
