Fellerer, Max Fellinger, Karl

Fellinger, Johann Georg


Fellinger, Johann Georg, b. Peggau (Styria), Jan. 3, 1781, d. Postojna, Croatia (then Adelsberg), Nov. 27, 1816, author, wrote poems about the fight for freedom, freedom fighter, officer. Wrote poems and ballads in the style of F. G. Klopstock and F. Schiller in early youth. In 1808 enlisted in the Landwehr, the army reserve. He was called "Styria's Theodor Körner" on account of his poems about the fight for freedom.
