FavianisFavianis, a castle mentioned in the Notitia Dignitatum, built in late antiquity, housing a unit of Roman legionnaires (Liburnarii of the legio I Noricorum). In the Vita Severini, Favianis appears as a monastery where St. Severinus, who died there in 482, performed his works; known today as Mautern an der Donau.
