Einsle, AntonEinsle, Anton, b. Vienna, Jan. 30, 1801, d. Vienna, March 10, 1871, portrait artist, studied at the Academy in Vienna; popular portraitist among the Viennese aristocracy and prominent public figures. Spent many years in Prague and Budapest, 1838 became court painter and returned to Vienna; painted around 30 portraits of the young Emperor Franz Joseph in the first two years of his reign.
