Egger, BélaEgger, Béla, b. Ofen, Budapest (Hungary), May 18, 1831, d. Vienna, July 5, 1910, industrialist, pioneer of electrical engineering in Austria, father of Ernst Egger, built an electric railway in the Prater Park in Vienna for the Trade Exhibition in 1880, built lighting systems and founded the "Vereinigte Elektrizitäts-AG" (electricity company) in Vienna in 1897.
