Dresden, Frieden vonDresden, Treaty of, December 25, 1745, between Maria Theresia and elector Friedrich August II of Saxony as one party and Friedrich II of Prussia as the other, ended the 2nd Silesian War. Prussia retained Silesia (Treaty of Breslau 1742), in return recognised Maria Theresia´s husband as Emperor Franz I.
