Dörmann, Felix (real name: F. Biedermann), b. Vienna, May 29, 1870, d. Vienna, Oct. 26, 1928. Versatile writer, poet and film producer, member of the intellectual circle around H. Bahr. D.'s extensive works include novels, novellas, librettos, (erotic) plays and poetry collections. Founded "Vindobona-Film" in 1912, and was active as film producer until 1914.


Works: Poetry collections: Neurotica, 1891; Sensationen, 1892; Gelächter, 1896. - Dramas: Ledige Leute, 1897; Zimmerherren, 1900. - Libretto: Ein Walzertraum (for O. Strauss' operetta, D.'s greatest success), 1907. - Novels: Jazz, 1925; Herbst in Europa, 1937.
