Doležal, Eduard© Copyright Eduard Doležal, photo 1911 Doležal, Eduard, b. Moravské Budečovice, Czech Republic (then Mährisch-Budwitz), March 2, 1862, d. Baden (Lower Austria), July 7, 1955. Geodesist, father of modern Austrian surveying, weights and measures, which he re-organised and centralised. 1899-1905 teacher at the mining college in Leoben, and, 1905-1930 at the University of Technology in Vienna. 1907 founded the Austrian and 1910 the International Society of Photogrammetry, as well as the Archives of Photogrammetry (a periodical from 1908 on) of which he was also editor.
