DiözesanratDiocesan Council, also called Pastoral Council, organ in a Diocese established as and when required by the circumstances of pastoral work. It is made up chiefly of lay people as well as clerics and members of religious institutions; it has advisory functions and is appointed for a definite time according to regulations issued by the bishop.
