Deutscher Schutzbund für die Grenz- und AuslandsdeutschenDeutscher Schutzbund für die Grenz- und Auslandsdeutschen (German Federation for the Protection of Germans Living Abroad and in Border Areas), founded in 1919, seat in Berlin. Its main function was to help organise and monitor various referendums (Upper Silesia, East Prussia); significant for Austria was its activity on the occasion of the 1920 plebiscite in Carinthia, which consisted in organising and mobilising the German-speaking Carinthians in Germany.
