Studied painting in Athens, set design for stage and film at the Academy of Applied Arts in Vienna; since 1965 employed by the Vienna State Opera. 1971-1997 head of decoration for Austrian Federal Theatres; designed sets for the Vienna State Opera, Volksoper and Burgtheater ("Jim Knopf und Lukas, der Lokomotivführer" was awarded the Kainz Medal by the City of Vienna) as well as for festivals in Austria and abroad.
