Dachauer, Wilhelm, b. Ried im Innkreis (Upper Austria), April 5, 1881, d. Vienna, Feb. 26, 1951. Painter, student at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts from 1899 to 1907, teacher at the Academy from 1927 to 1945.


Works: Various postage stamp series (incl. Nibelungen, Inventors, Stille Nacht, J. Strauß); portraits (J. Wagner-Jauregg, V. Kaplan); 10 stained glass windows and altarpiece in the Ried hospital chapel, 1928;

Literature: W. D., Gemälde u. Briefmarken, 1963.
