Vienna, May 31, 1732, d. Vienna, May 20, 1812, Bishop of Gurk from 1762, last Prince Archbishop of Salzburg 1772-1803. Was thrifty, introduced reforms similar to those of Joseph II, 1800 fled from the French, 1803 gave up his secular functions but 1807 was able to maintain the existence of the archbishopric.
