Kischinjow (Rumania), Feb. 10, 1910, d. Vienna, June 9, 1949, singer (soprano), from 1931 permanent member of the company at the Salzburg Festival; 1934 Kammersängerin*, 1935-1945 in Berlin, 1947-1949 at the Vienna State Opera. Guest performances all over the world, also films. Married the film actor G. Dießl in 1938. Both her sons were adopted by the English pianist Curzon in 1954. Literature: A. Mingotti, M.
