Vienna, Nov. 17, 1828, painter, studied in Vienna and Bologna, lived in Rome for a long period of time, member of the Academy of Venice, 1797-1828 taught at the Vienna Academy, from 1808 director of the Vienna Porcelain Manufacture (Wiener Porzellanmanufaktur), worked for the purchasing department of the imperial gallery, painted especially themes from classical mythology.
