Bubendorfer, ThomasBubendorfer, Thomas, b. Salzburg, May 14, 1962, mountaineer, author of books on mountaineering, management trainer. Grew up in St. Johann im Pongau, has undertaken extremely difficult climbing tours since 1977, specialises in free climbing and climbing solo, often in a very short time: Civetta NW face, the Eiger N face, Mount Fitz Roy etc. Continued his climbing activities after a fall which nearly cost him his life in 1988.
