Brosch, KlemensBrosch, Klemens, b. Linz (Upper Austria), Oct. 21, 1894, d. Linz, Dec. 17, 1926 (suicide), graphic artist. 1913-1914 studied at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts. Based upon a precise study of nature, his style combines symbolism and elements of Japanese woodcuts. His experiences in World War I, which made him drift into drug-addiction, are clearly reflected in his work. His designs created in 1919 for the emergency currency are artistically interesting examples of small graphics. Works: Drawings: Fahrt am Morgen, 1912; Der Invaliden Dank, 1915. - Aquarelles: Spazierweg am Eisenbahndamm, 1926. - Exlibris. E. Nowak-Thaller, K. B. 1894-1926, 1991; H.-G. Sehrt (ed.), K.
