Briegniel (Brigniel), Josef, b. Klagenfurt (Carinthia), March 24, 1699, d. Wr. Neustadt (Lower Austria), around 1770, Jesuit, from 1740 missionary in Paraguay, compiled a dictionary and a grammar of the language of the Apibon Indians and drew a map of their territory.
