BoulevardpresseTabloid Press, newspapers with sensational stories about often negative events. During the years between the two world wars, mainly midday or evening papers, especially promoted by the Hungarian journalist Imre Békessy. From 1945 until 1955, the newspapers of the occupying forces were also part of the popular press; after 1955, this tradition was continued by the "Neuer Kurier", "Bildtelegraf", "Express", "(Neue) Kronen Zeitung" and "Täglich Alles".
