Adler, 1905 secretary and head clerk of the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde from the 1912/13 season until 1938; secretary general of the Wiener Konzerthaus, left Austria in 1938. Works: Beethoven im Alltag, 1927; J. Haydn, 3 vols., 1927; revised the "Musikbuch aus Österreich" between 1904 and 1911. Literature: ÖBL.
