Blech, LeoBlech, Leo, b. Aachen (Germany), April 21, 1871, d. Berlin (Germany), Aug. 24, 1958, conductor and composer, 1899-1906 worked in Prague, 1925 at the Vienna Volksoper, important work in collaboration with R. Batka, who wrote numerous libretti for operas and operettas. Works (with Batka): Das war ich, 1902; Alpenkönig und Menschenfeind, 1903; Aschenbrödel, 1905; Versiegelt, 1908.
