Vienna, Jan. 7, 1955, geographer, trainer of teachers. 1913-1922 school inspector for the provinces of Vienna and Lower Austria, 1930-1955 president of the Lower Austrian Society for Regional Studies; had a significant influence upon the methodology of geography teaching; his regional studies feature mainly Lower Austria.
