Vienna, Feb. 19, 1983, poet, novelist, feuilletonist and editor. 1923-1925 wrote for the magazines "Das Wort" and "Prager Abendblatt"; 1938 banned from writing. 1945-1948 editor of "Plan", an avant-garde magazine on literature and art (founded 1937). 1981 awarded the Austrian State Prize for Cultural Journalism.
