Attems, Ignaz Maria GrafAttems, Count Ignaz Maria, b. Graz (Styria), Feb. 24, 1774, d. Graz, Dec. 17, 1861, administrative lawyer; son of Ferdinand Attems; 1820-1852 Landeshauptmann of the province of Styria; advocated a constitutional monarchy in Austria; promoted the reconstruction of the theatre in Graz and the elevation of the Graz Lyzeum (secondary school) into a university.
