Vienna, Dec. 29, 1865, actor, director, playwright, translator; father of Auguste Anschütz. 1821-1864 member of the Vienna Burgtheater, heroic and paternal roles; closely associated with the circle around Franz Schubert and friend of L. van Beethoven.
