Fribourg (Switzerland), Nov. 19, 1951, writer of narrative prose and impressionist poetry, literary historian, diplomat, son of Ferdinand Andrian-Werburg. 1918 director of the "Wiener Hoftheater", friend of H. Bahr, H. von Hofmannsthal and A. Schnitzler. Emigrated in 1938. Works: Der Garten der Erkenntnis, 1895 (narrative); Österreich im Prisma der Idee, 1937; poems, novellas. Literature: H. Schumacher, Das Weltbild L. A.-W., doctoral thesis, Innsbruck 1958.
