Amadeus-Dier, Erhard (real name: E. A. Dier), b. Vienna, Feb. 8, 1893, d. Klosterneuburg (Lower Austria), Sept. 25, 1969, painter and graphic artist. Several awards and prizes; member of the Austrian resistance movement during the National Socialist era.


Works: Turm von Babel, 1929-1932; designs for Austrian bank notes, tapestries, wall papers, church windows; animated films; paintings on porcelain; illustrations; etchings; portraits; animal pictures.
