Altdeutsche GenesisAltdeutsche Genesis (Old German Genesis), in early Middle High German, anonymous poetic Bible rendition written around 1060/80 of approximately 6000 lines of rhyming couplets which were still relatively free as regards meter; tells biblical stories from the Creation to Joseph in Egypt, passed on along with the Altdeutscher Exodus.
