Headquarters at Salzburg, branch offices in virtually all Austrian provinces as well as in Germany, Italy and various countries in Central and Eastern Europe; Austria's largest private construction firm covering virtually all fields of building and civil engineering: building construction, urban renewal, plant , power station, road and tunnel construction, construction of electrical plants and equipment etc. Has participated in such large-scale projects as the development of the central district of Berlin and the Wohnpark Neue Donau housing project in Vienna. In 1997 ALPINE Bau took over the firm Mayreder, Kraus & Co. Bauholdingges. m. b. H.. In the same year the company had a staff of 6227 and a gross turnover of ATS 10.4 billion.
