Schalchen (Upper Austria), May 23, 1930, writer, architectural historian. 1955-1964 member of Wiener Gruppe, worked with H. C. Artmann, K. Bayer, G. Rühm and O. Wiener, chair of architectural history at the Hochschule für angewandte Kunst (now University of Applied Arts) in Vienna 1983-1998. Writer of "Concrete Poetry" and modern dialect poetry. Awarded the Austrian State Prize for Cultural Journalism in 1984. Works: prosa, konstellationen, montagen, dialektgedichte, studien, 1970; quadratroman, 1973; Österreichische Architektur im 20.
