St.Joseph's at Margareten, 5th district of Vienna, Schönbrunner Straße 50.

On Nov.21st, Schubert's mortal remains were carried from his deathplace (at Kettenbrückengasse) to the nearby church of St.Joseph's. A choir sang Schubert's "Pax Vobiscum" and a funeral motet, composed by Johann Baptist Gänsbacher (cf. "Österreich-Lexikon"). After the funeral service the coffin was taken to St.Lawrence and St.Gertrud's church, Währing (today 18th district of Vienna) and after another service interred in the local cemetery of Währing.
