Schubert’s birthplace
According to a well-founded tradition Schubert was born in this kitchen, which comprised only a few square metres. The adjoining room also belonged to the apartment. In 1797 the family consisted of 7 members, the parents and 5 children. Almost every year a child was born, but many died as babies or in their infancy.
