The towers of the castle dominate the scenery of the village. After ist enlargement and some
alterations the castle became one of the biggest Renaissance buildings of Lower Austria. The
present form dates from 1675. It was once a mighty castle with a moat and a drawbridge, within
the vast plain of the Marchfeld. The castle now houses a museum for fishery and hunting, one
room is dedicated to Schiske’s life and work.
